ElevenLabs said it completed a $300 million employee tender offer valuing the voice-generation company at $22 billion — roughly double the mark from its February funding round. The tender was co-led by Wellington Management and T. Rowe Price, according to the company and reporting by TechCrunch and Reuters.
Demand is not coming from novelty clips. ElevenLabs says enterprise customers now account for about 55% of revenue and that its agents handle roughly 15 million conversations a week. Voice has become the interface layer for customer service, tutoring and outbound sales agents that sit on top of frontier text models.
The company also shipped Eleven v4 and v4 Turbo variants in late September, tightening the loop between model quality and the valuation story. Smaller voice vendors now face a scale problem: buyers who want a production agent stack are consolidating onto a handful of vendors that already have latency, cloning controls and enterprise contracts.
For the rest of the industry, the $22 billion print is a reminder that the money is following interfaces, not just base models. Text labs still set the intelligence ceiling; voice labs are capturing the last mile that users actually talk to.
Key takeaway. Voice is no longer a side feature. A doubled valuation on agent conversation volume shows the interface layer can price like a platform.
